Hair extensions do two things, either they add volume to thin hair, making it appear thicker in a totally natural way, or they add instant length to short hair. A range of hair types and lengths are available, and they can be added in a number of ways. This page contains answers to questions that people commonly ask about hair extensions.

1. How is the hair attached?
   The hair comes in wefts, which are small groups of individual hairs, attached at the top and loose at the bottom. These wefts are attached to your hair.

3. Is it really real human hair?
   There are several types of hair extensions available:
   • Synthetic hair -- This is man-made, and really not very good quality, unless you want dreadlocks, in which case it is excellent.
   • Asian hair -- This is real human hair grown by an Asian person, and so is only useful if you are Asian.
   • Italian or Spanish hair -- This is real hair grown by Italians and Spaniards. It is dark hair, so if you want it to be blonde, it needs to be dyed, and so will be already damaged by the time you get it.
   • Raw or Virign hair -- This is real hair from Russia. It is naturally blonde and of the highest quality.

8. Can I wash it and treat it like my own hair?
   You must treat your hair extensions very carefully because they do not receive natural scalp oils from your head like your real hair does. For this reason you must wash, condition and moisturize your hair every two or three days. When brushing, do so gently, starting from the bottom and working to the top. Apart from this, you can treat them just like normal hair, but do treat them gently, especially when blow-drying.
