Buy Depron Sheets on ebay.co.ukProbably the easiest place to get Depron is on ebay. It's exactly the same stuff you get from one of the shops, but usually a bit cheaper. I've bought Depron from eBay and it has been great! |
Depron is a very versatile material for building radio control planes. It is sold in thin sheets like balsa, can be cut with a sharp knife, yet is very light-weight and rigid. I built my Mumbo Minor and my AND_NOW from 3mm sheet depron, and I was very happy with them. They are extremely light-weight, and reasonably rigid, although they both required carbon fibre spars to keep them in shape. Painting depron is also easy, just get foam-safe paint.
While you're at it, you'll need some Depron glue. Two choices are Foam-to-foam and UHU-por. Most people swear by UHU-por. RobotBirds have it in stock.
